Our client is a global leader in the provision of Life Insurance and Wealth Protection Products with a major presence in the local marketplace. Due to continued strong growth, they are now seeking to appoint an underwriter to support their business activities in Melbourne. This role reports directly to the State Underwriting Manager. To be considered for this role, candidates will need to demonstrate the ability to work independently and as an effective member of the team, whilst at the same time provide transparency on activities that support business goals and objectives. We are seeking discreet enquiries and applications from suitably qualified and experienced Underwriters, ideally with a minimum of 2 years underwriting expertise within the specialised area of Life, TPD, Trauma & IP. You must have authority limits of at Least $1M Life, $500k Trauma, $5k IP and be able to apply loadings of at least 100% and exclusions as appropriate. You must be able to articulate a solid understanding of a diverse range of medical conditions and terminology. An added benefit is your ability to engage the referral networks and an established reputation within the Financial Planning community is a distinct advantage.
